Located in Ikaruga Town, Ikoma District, Nara Prefecture, KEN Ladies Clinic specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Ken Yamashita, the clinic director, graduated from Nara Medical University and has accumulated approximately 30 years of clinical experience at university hospitals and general hospitals. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree and is a certified OB/GYN instructor by the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The clinic offers a wide range of services tailored to women's life stages, including treatment for irregular menstruation and dysmenorrhea, early detection of cervical, endometrial, and ovarian cancers, prenatal checkups, hormone therapy and Kampo (traditional Japanese herbal) treatment for menopause, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis, infertility consultations, and premarital health checkups. The clinic has arranged for Dr. Sumire Sugimoto to see patients on Thursdays, and female doctors from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Nara Medical University on the third Saturday of each month, accommodating those who prefer consultations with female physicians. Another distinctive feature is the consultation services provided by advanced practice midwives, including postpartum care, breastfeeding support, and childcare consultations. Since May 2024, the clinic has also introduced diode laser hair removal using Motus AX. Additionally, the clinic offers smoking cessation treatment covered by health insurance, with the director himself being a certified smoking cessation specialist by the Japan Society for Tobacco Control and having published multiple papers on smoking and perinatal health. Clinic hours are 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, closed on Sundays and public holidays. The clinic accommodates English and Korean speakers, accepts electronic payments, and has parking and barrier-free facilities available.
