Ohtsuki Clinic, located in Hara Village, Suwa District, Nagano Prefecture, is a community-based clinic with a long history dating back to 1887. Dr. Michio Ohtsuki, the clinic director, graduated from Keio University School of Medicine and holds a Doctor of Medicine degree. Drawing on his experience managing a surgical hospital, he has been providing care in Hara Village since 2017. The clinic's internal medicine services are comprehensive, covering general internal medicine, lifestyle-related diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia, respiratory diseases including emphysema, bronchial asthma, and sleep apnea syndrome, atopic conditions, and smoking cessation treatment. The clinic also performs minor surgical procedures such as treating mild injuries, burns, and splinter removal, providing a well-established system to address various everyday health concerns. Notably, the clinic offers a Cancer Second Opinion Clinic (self-funded care) by Dr. Keiichi Maruyama, who has experience at the National Cancer Center Hospital in the field of gastrointestinal oncology. Multiple specialists provide care on different days of the week, delivering high-quality medical services in their respective areas of expertise. The clinic is open on weekends and strives to reduce wait times through web reservations. A referral system with major regional hospitals such as Suwa Red Cross Hospital and Shinshu University Hospital is in place, and when cases cannot be handled at the clinic, appropriate referrals are made to suitable medical institutions. The clinic has parking and is barrier-free, and accepts credit cards and electronic payments.
