Located in Yagiyamahommachi, Taihaku Ward, Sendai, Yagiyama Dental Clinic is a clinic that provides dental care to the community under the leadership of a director with an extensive professional background. After graduating from Nagasaki University School of Dentistry, the director worked at Tohoku University Dental Hospital, specializing in oral diagnosis, and obtained a PhD in Dentistry from Tohoku University. Subsequently, serving as Chief and Deputy Chief of the General Dental Department at the affiliated hospital, they accumulated rich clinical and research experience, and opened this clinic in 2007. Currently, they continue to serve as a part-time lecturer at the Tohoku University Graduate School of Dentistry and as a board member of the Sendai Dental Association, contributing to the development of regional dental healthcare. In academia, they belong to a wide range of professional societies, including the Japanese Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, the Japanese Society of Gerodontology, the Japanese Society of Periodontology, and the Japanese Society for Temporomandibular Joint, and are expected to respond to various dental conditions. Additionally, they participate in research groups related to implants and orthodontics, continuously honing their expertise. The clinic operates on an appointment-only basis, and while appointments may be difficult to secure during busy periods, this attests to the strong trust the community places in them.
