Located in Sakuragaoka, Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Yasuda Clinic is a community-focused clinic specializing in internal medicine, pediatrics, and gastroenterology. Dr. Toshiaki Yasuda, the clinic director, has a unique background, having graduated from Tohoku University Faculty of Law, worked at Mitsubishi Corporation, and then earned his medical degree from Yamagata University Faculty of Medicine. He served as a general practitioner for three years at Tansen Hospital in Nepal and served as the director of a clinic on Aji Island, an isolated island in Miyagi Prefecture, for ten years from its opening. He continues to provide outpatient support to the island every Wednesday, and his deep involvement in community medicine is a significant feature of this clinic. Medical services cover a wide range, from general internal medicine for colds and influenza to treatment and lifestyle guidance for lifestyle diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia, smoking cessation clinic, hay fever, health checkups and specific health examinations, vaccinations, and consultations on home medical care and home nursing. The ability to provide medical services in English and Nepali is also a unique strength of this clinic, backed by the director's own international medical experience. Clinic hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings (9:00 AM to 12:30 PM) and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons (2:00 PM to 6:00 PM), with Saturday mornings only. The clinic also has a parking lot, providing an accessible environment for a wide range of generations in the Sakuragaoka area.
