Sugano Clinic, located in Odawara, Miyagino Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, is a historic clinic that has been supporting community healthcare for over 80 years since its establishment in 1941. The clinic's major characteristic is its broad coverage, spanning internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, and cardiovascular surgery, with cardiovascular diseases as its primary specialty. The director graduated from Keio University and Nippon Medical School Faculty of Medicine, gained expertise at the University of Washington's Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, and later served as a lecturer in the Second Department of Surgery (Cardiovascular Surgery) at Nippon Medical School. Holding multiple professional qualifications including cardiovascular surgeon certification, Japan Society for Thoracic Surgery certified physician (heart and great vessels), and Japan Surgical Society board certification, the clinic offers high-level expertise in cardiovascular diseases. Consultation hours are Monday through Thursday mornings (9:00-12:30) and afternoons (14:00-17:00), with Fridays reserved for follow-up appointments by prior reservation. The clinic is equipped with X-ray, ECG, and ultrasound facilities and provides in-house pharmacy services. Collaborative relationships with multiple medical institutions, including Tohoku University Hospital and Sendai Medical Center, have been established, and the clinic also offers second opinion consultations. In addition to home visit services (Monday-Thursday afternoons, by appointment), English-speaking services are available, and parking is provided.
