Nakagawa Memorial Chikako Women's Clinic, located on Furukawa Station O-dori in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, is a clinic specializing in women's internal medicine. Its history dates back to 1976, when it opened as Nakagawa Obstetrics and Gynecology, supporting women's healthcare in the region for nearly half a century. In March 2016, Dr. Chikako Okamura became the director and the clinic was renamed. Under the directorship, who holds qualifications as a gynecologist, cytology specialist, and specialist of the Japan Society of Women's Health, the clinic provides comprehensive women's healthcare services including gynecology, obstetrics outpatient, and women's internal medicine for women of all ages. As its treatment philosophy, the clinic upholds four pillars: serving as a primary care gynecologist supporting local women's health, creating a bright, approachable atmosphere with privacy-focused environment, providing examinations with minimal discomfort and thorough explanations, and actively engaging in preventive medicine. A notable feature is the examination style where patients can easily understand their condition through real-time explanations while viewing ultrasound images of the uterus and ovaries. It also administers cervical cancer vaccines and shingles vaccines (by reservation), playing a community-rooted role in preventive medicine as well.
