Asahi Internal Medicine Clinic is located on the 2nd floor of Shirakura Medical Center, approximately a 2-minute walk from the west exit of Shirakura Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line. The clinic director, Dr. Takashi Iizuka, graduated from Gunma University School of Medicine and gained extensive experience at the Asahi Life Diabetes Research Institute, the Department of Gastroenterology at Kanto Teishin Hospital (now NTT East Japan Hospital), and the Department of Internal Medicine at Yokohama Rosai Hospital before opening this clinic in 2004. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree and is certified as a General Internal Medicine Specialist by the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine and as a Diabetes Specialist by the Japan Diabetes Society. The clinic provides general internal medicine services with specialized care for lifestyle-related diseases including diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia, as well as gastroenterology and nutritional counseling. Diagnostic capabilities include upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, ultrasound examinations, Holter electrocardiography, peripheral nerve testing, pulmonary function tests, aortic arteriosclerosis screening, endocrine load tests, and diabetes loading tests. On Wednesday afternoons, physicians specializing in cardiology and general internal medicine are also available. Consultation hours are weekdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the clinic closed on Thursdays, Sundays, and public holidays. English-language services are available. The facility is barrier-free and equipped with an elevator. Home medical care services are also provided for patients who have difficulty visiting the clinic.
