Miyashita Midwifery Clinic, located in Minamiharu-dai, Minami Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, is a clinic specializing in breastfeeding support and postpartum care provided by midwives. The director graduated from nursing school in 1980, worked in obstetrics and pediatrics at Prefectural Shiomidai Hospital, and started the practice in 1990 as a visiting service. Since then, she has consistently focused on breastfeeding support and reducing parenting anxiety. The clinic has handled approximately 4,500 deliveries and provided breastfeeding support to over 70,000 people, with achievements recognized through numerous awards including the Medical Merit Award, Maternal and Child Health Encouragement Award, Yokohama Mayor's Award, and Health Culture Award. In 2010, it became the first facility to receive "Midwifery Certification" from the Japan Midwifery Evaluation Organization, confirming high standards in quality and safety. Operating hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 4 PM (by appointment only), with English support available for non-Japanese speakers.
