Located just a 2-minute walk from the South Exit of Fujisawa Station in Kanagawa Prefecture, Befu Clinic has been serving the community as a specialized internal medicine and gastroenterology clinic since its establishment in 1947. Director Dr. Kazuko Befu is a board-certified specialist and instructor of the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society, with over 15 years of experience specializing in gastrointestinal endoscopy at the Cancer Institute Hospital and Juntendo University Hospital. She has performed more than 30,000 endoscopic procedures. The clinic features sedated gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures, performed by a female specialist using the latest endoscopic equipment, creating a comfortable environment for patients who may feel anxious about endoscopic examinations. Same-day colon polyp removal is also available, offering comprehensive gastroenterological care. In general internal medicine, the clinic treats chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia. Specialized outpatient clinics are available, with a cardiology specialist from Juntendo University Hospital every Tuesday, and a neurology specialist on the second Saturday of each month. The clinic also provides Fujisawa City health screenings, various vaccinations, and medical checkups, functioning as a primary care facility. English-language services are available. The clinic is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (morning and afternoon), and Saturday.
