Hongou Mental Clinic is conveniently located just a 4-minute walk from Shonandai Station, which provides access to three railway lines: the Odakyu Line, Yokohama Municipal Subway, and Sotetsu Line. Established in February 2006, this psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine clinic serves the community centered on Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The director, Dr. Hiroaki Hongou, is a board-certified psychiatrist who graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Medicine and has accumulated extensive clinical experience. He holds specialist and supervisory physician certifications from the Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as the designation of designated mental health physician. The clinic addresses a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, insomnia, anxiety, panic disorder, adjustment disorder, and epilepsy. The clinic operates primarily by appointment to minimize patient wait times. The facility features a spacious, open waiting area and two well-appointed consultation rooms, designed to create a calm environment for patients. Consultations are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (9:00 AM–12:30 PM and 2:30 PM–5:00 PM), with parking facilities on site. English-language consultations are available, making it accessible for patients who require medical care in languages other than Japanese. The clinic also offers online video-based private mental health counseling sessions (currently temporarily suspended), demonstrating its commitment to providing diverse treatment options.
