Date Hospital is a community-oriented hospital located in Kandacho, Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture, providing medical care primarily in internal medicine. Established in its current form in 1982, it has contributed to regional healthcare for many years. Outpatient services are available on weekdays and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The hospital is closed on Sundays, public holidays, during the Obon period, and at year-end/New Year. The respiratory medicine specialty clinic has been held on the first Thursday afternoon of each month since April 2025. Inpatient facilities include 20 general ward beds and 28 convalescent ward beds, totaling 48 beds, accommodating a wide range of medical needs from acute to convalescent care. The hospital offers parking facilities and barrier-free access. English-language services are available. In April 2022, a new director took office, beginning operations under new leadership. The hospital provides a first-visit reception service, and My Number cards are accepted for registration.
