Located in the Tsunagi area of Morioka City, known as a hot spring district, Morioka Tsunagi Onsen Hospital is a community-based medical facility specializing in internal medicine. With 170 beds, the hospital provides care across a wide range of stages from acute to recovery and chronic phases, featuring general wards in addition to a convalescent rehabilitation ward (48 beds) and long-term care wards (total 72 beds). The hospital's most distinctive feature is its active incorporation of the "Tsunagi Onsen" hot spring, which gives the facility its name, into medical care and rehabilitation. Equipped with a rehabilitation pool utilizing hot spring water, the hospital provides specialized programs delivered by a collaborative team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language-hearing therapists, implementing a unique approach that supports patients' early recovery. Certified by the Japan Council for Quality Health Care in 2006 and maintaining continuous accreditation, the hospital's organizational commitment to maintaining and improving medical standards has been recognized externally. The hospital ensures an accessible environment for diverse patients through English-speaking staff, acceptance of credit cards and electronic payments, as well as parking facilities and barrier-free access.
