Shibata Kids Clinic is a community-focused pediatric clinic located in Moriya, Ibaraki, just a 2-minute walk from Moriya City Hall. The clinic addresses a wide range of children's health issues, from general infectious diseases such as colds and gastroenteritis to the diagnosis and treatment of allergic conditions like asthma, hay fever, and atopic dermatitis, as well as bedwetting consultations. During infant health checkups, in addition to growth and development assessments, the clinic performs eye screenings using a Spot Vision Screener to detect abnormalities like strabismus, hyperopia, and myopia, and kidney ultrasound examinations, striving to detect conditions that might be overlooked in routine checkups at an early stage. Vaccinations are available for children throughout Ibaraki Prefecture, covering both routine and optional vaccines. The facility features two isolation examination rooms, allowing for spatial and temporal separation of patients suspected of having infectious diseases from general patients. As a Type 2 Agreement-Designated Medical Institution designated by the Governor of Ibaraki Prefecture, the clinic actively accepts febrile patients. The waiting room is well-stocked with wooden toys and picture books, creating a child-friendly environment. The clinic has implemented an online reservation system accepting 15-minute interval appointments, and offers English support, parking facilities, and barrier-free design. When specialized examinations or hospitalization are required, the clinic provides referrals to multiple partner medical institutions including the University of Tsukuba Hospital.
