Located in Hitachiota City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Oyama Hospital is a community-oriented general hospital operated by the medical corporation Daishukai. Since its opening in 1974, the hospital has long supported regional healthcare and, in 2014, relocated to its new four-story steel-frame facility. With 12 departments including gastroenterology, digestive surgery, internal medicine, orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, dermatology, respiratory medicine, and cardiology, the hospital has a 90-bed general ward. Hospital Director Dr. Sakae Oyama, a graduate of Showa University School of Medicine's Department of General Gastroenterological Surgery, holds credentials as an instructor and specialist from the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society, providing advanced treatment focusing on gastrointestinal diseases. A notable feature is the same-day endoscopy service—patients can undergo gastroscopy without an appointment by fasting before breakfast that morning. Some departments have also introduced an appointment system to reduce waiting times. Operating hours are divided into morning and afternoon sessions on weekdays, with Saturday morning consultations also available. English communication is supported. Credit cards and electronic payments are accepted, and the facility features a large parking lot accommodating 169 vehicles along with barrier-free facilities, creating an accessible environment for a wide range of patients.
