Yusa Clinic, located in Shakamachi, Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, is an internal medicine and pediatrics clinic about a 5-minute walk from Hitachinaka Seaside Railway's Nakaominato Station. Originally established in 1920 as Suimon Clinic, this community-rooted medical facility celebrated its centennial in 2020. The current director, Dr. Fumio Yusa, graduated from Showa University School of Medicine and gained experience as a pediatric specialist at multiple hospitals before dedicating many years to community healthcare. The clinic operates from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM (closed Wednesday and Saturday afternoons). With an online and phone-based queue management system, patients can plan their visits while checking wait times from home or while out. The clinic has implemented infection prevention measures including separate patient flow for fever and non-fever patients, and offers seasonal influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations as well as shingles vaccinations for those aged 65 and older. In 2009, the clinic established the sick child care room "Marin Room" to support childcare by accepting children who must stay home from daycare or school due to illness. The clinic provides medical services in English, has on-site parking, and features a barrier-free entrance accessible to wheelchair users.
