Motivated by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake to focus on community healthcare, Dr. Kato is a certified Primary Care Supervisor by the Japanese Primary Care Association, treating a broad range of conditions in both internal medicine and pediatrics. The clinic also features Dr. Tetsuya Furukawa, a Japan Circulation Society-certified cardiologist who provides part-time cardiology services on Wednesday mornings in a two-exam-room system. Orthopedic services are available with certified specialists, and gastroscopy examinations by the gastroenterology team from Sumitomo Hospital are offered on Saturday mornings. Clinic hours are 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, closed Thursday afternoons, Saturday afternoons, Sundays, and holidays.
