Sho Dental Clinic, located just a 2-minute walk from the west exit of Hanshin Koshien Station in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, opened in 1968 and has been serving the local community's dental care needs for over half a century. Under the second-generation director, the clinic provides a wide range of services including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, preventive dentistry, and home-visit dental care. While primarily offering insurance-covered treatments, the clinic also provides elective treatments upon request, handling everything from cavity and periodontal disease treatment to dentures, bite adjustment, custom mouthguards for teeth grinding, and fluoride application. In 2020, the clinic underwent renovation to create a more relaxing environment and strengthen infection control measures. Strict hygiene protocols include high-pressure steam sterilization of instruments using an autoclave, prevention of droplet and dust dispersion with extraoral vacuum systems, and the use of disposable aprons and cups. Examination rooms feature a semi-private design, allowing patients to view their oral conditions on a monitor via an intraoral camera during consultations. The facility is fully wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair-friendly examination rooms and restrooms, and includes a kids' space, making it easy for patients of all ages to visit. For those who have difficulty traveling to the clinic, home-visit dental care by the director is available. Multilingual support including English and Korean is offered, and parking is available. Clinic hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with Thursday, Sunday, and public holidays closed.
