Located right next to the Shiyakusho-guchi exit of Hanshin "Nishinomiya Station," Kato Clinic is a community-based clinic specializing in gastroenterology, surgery, internal medicine, and proctology. The director, Dr. Michio Kato, graduated from Kobe University School of Medicine, earned his medical doctorate from the university's graduate school, and has extensive clinical and research experience in surgery and gastroenterological surgery at institutions including the Hyogo Prefectural Cancer Center, Hyogo Medical University, Kobe University Hospital, and Kindai University Faculty of Medicine. He holds multiple specialist certifications centered on the digestive system, including board-certified gastroenterologist from the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology, board-certified surgeon from the Japan Surgical Society, board-certified gastroenterological surgeon from the Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery, and board-certified specialist in colorectal and anal diseases from the Japanese Society of Coloproctology—making high-level specialization a key feature of the clinic. The clinic performs gastrointestinal endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy) and ultrasound examinations (liver, gallbladder, pancreas, breast, and thyroid), and also provides second opinions on gastrointestinal cancers, health checkups, and lifestyle disease consultations. A smoking cessation outpatient service is also available. Clinic hours are 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with Thursday afternoons, Saturday afternoons, Sundays, and public holidays closed. English consultation is available, and the facility is barrier-free accessible.
