Located in front of JR Sumiyoshi Station in Higashinada-ku, Kobe City, Asano Neurology and Psychiatry Clinic has been treating patients for both psychiatric and neurological conditions since opening in 1991. The clinic moved to the 2nd floor of KiLaLa Sumiyoshi in 2003 and has been playing a role in local healthcare since then. With the addition of child psychiatrist Dr. Hiroshi Ide to the medical team in April 2008, the clinic established a system capable of addressing psychiatric and neurological conditions for a wide range of age groups from children to the elderly. Furthermore, since April 2015, a child and adolescent outpatient clinic opened under Dr. Masaharu Uemoto, providing consultations on Tuesday mornings and alternate Saturday mornings. In terms of treatment, psychologists listen to symptoms and treatment preferences during initial consultations, and counseling and psychological testing are provided as needed as part of treatment. The clinic offers English consultation, and considerations are made in the environment, including parking availability and barrier-free access. Appointments on Monday mornings are reservation-only, and it is important to note that appointments after 6 PM incur higher consultation fees and that health insurance cards must be presented.
