Located in Kitaojicho, Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, Hyogo Prefectural Cancer Center provides team-based medical care through collaboration across surgical, internal medicine, and radiation therapy departments. Utilizing state-of-the-art treatment technologies to offer optimal care for patients, the center also emphasizes social support through its comprehensive Palliative Care Center and Cancer Consultation and Support Center. The center treats rare cancers, implements genomic medicine using cancer gene panel testing, and provides genetic counseling through its genetics clinic. Initiatives for AYA generation cancers and nuclear medicine therapy for well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors are also conducted. Environmental improvements include multilingual support in English and Korean, electronic payment, parking, and barrier-free accessibility. The center is currently advancing plans for a new hospital building that combines cutting-edge advanced cancer care, social support, and research capabilities.
