Sanaiai Hospital is located in a nature-rich setting adjacent to a cherry blossom-lined path along the road leading to the Noboribetsu and Karurusu hot springs in Noboribetsu City, Hokkaido. Since its establishment in 1965, the hospital has been providing psychiatric-centered medical care to the local community for nearly 60 years. With a current capacity of 534 beds, the hospital features functionally differentiated wards, including a general psychiatric ward, psychiatric care ward, dementia treatment ward, elderly physical comorbidity treatment ward, and medical care ward, serving a wide range of patients from those with mental disorders to the elderly. Outpatient services cover psychiatry, internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, gastroenterology, psychosomatic medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, and dental and oral surgery. Specialized outpatient clinics include a Memory Clinic (Dementia Disease Medical Center) and a Kampo traditional herbal medicine clinic. Multidisciplinary rehabilitation services encompassing psychiatric occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language therapy are also available. The hospital additionally offers comprehensive medical check-ups, corporate health examinations, and specific health screenings. Having received certification from the Japan Council for Quality Health Care on four occasions, its medical standards have been recognized by an independent third-party organization. English-language support is available, and both parking facilities and barrier-free accommodations are provided.
