Eguchi Eye Hospital is located in Suehirocho, Hakodate, Hokkaido, approximately a 10-minute walk from JR Hakodate Station. With over 80 years of history, it is a specialized ophthalmology facility that has served the local community across three generations. In Hakodate, a city without a university hospital, the hospital has established itself as a comprehensive eye care center equipped to address a wide range of ocular conditions. As an affiliated hospital of the University of Tokyo, the facility employs medical department staff and offers specialized outpatient clinics led by some of Japan's foremost specialists, delivering cutting-edge diagnosis and treatment to the region. Beyond general ophthalmology, the hospital provides advanced surgical and therapeutic procedures, including ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) surgery, orthokeratology for myopia progression control, and corneal cross-linking for keratoconus. Myopia-controlling eye drops (Liduceamine Mini) are also prescribed, and a contact lens mail-order service is available.
