Located in the Crystal Building in central Asahikawa, Crystal Hashi Internal Medicine Clinic was originally founded in 1976 as Masuda Clinic, specializing in dialysis treatment, and reopened in 2015 as an internal medicine clinic integrating general internal medicine, nephrology, and cardiology. Dr. Junichi Kaitate, the clinic director, studied at New York Medical College and holds specialist certifications from the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy, the Japanese Circulation Society, and the Japanese Society of Hypertension, making him an expert in kidney and cardiovascular diseases. A major feature of the clinic is that all beds in the dialysis center on the third floor are equipped for online HDF (hemodiafiltration). This treatment method uses purified dialysate and is believed to reduce complication risks compared to conventional hemodialysis. The center provides a calm atmosphere with LED indirect lighting and BGM, offering a comfortable environment with Wi-Fi, cable TV, and DVD viewing capabilities. Private dialysis rooms are also available. The outpatient floor on the second floor focuses on early detection and progression control of chronic kidney disease (CKD), while also providing comprehensive care for lifestyle-related diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia, smoking cessation clinics, various vaccinations, and general internal medicine. The clinic serves as a family doctor for the local community. For detailed examinations or hospitalization, the clinic collaborates with the nephrology department at Asahikawa Red Cross Hospital. English language services are available, and the clinic is equipped with parking and barrier-free facilities.
