Located in Asahigami, Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, the Rivertown Clinic of Medical Corporation Midorinosato is a medical facility specializing in internal medicine, respiratory medicine, and palliative care that has been contributing to community healthcare since its opening in 1997. The clinic relocated to a newly constructed facility in July 2025, establishing a more comprehensive medical environment. A key feature of this clinic is its focus on home medical care and home palliative care in addition to outpatient services. As a home care support clinic authorized by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, it provides medical care through home visits for patients who have difficulty visiting the clinic, and offers palliative care to enable patients with cancer and other terminal illnesses to spend their time at home. In collaboration with Hokusei Family Clinic, it operates as an enhanced home care support clinic providing 24-hour, year-round support, working closely with local care managers and visiting nurse stations. The clinic has also established a backup support network with numerous medical institutions including Asahikawa Medical University and Asahikawa Kosei Hospital, ensuring a reliable medical system. In terms of facilities, the clinic has introduced state-of-the-art medical and diagnostic equipment, implemented electronic medical records for smooth clinical operations, and offers credit card and electronic money payment options, parking facilities, and barrier-free accessibility. English language support is also available. The current director, Dr. Takashi Yokota, has experience working at a respiratory center and specializes in home medical care and palliative care.
