Located in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture, Shimura Orthopedic Surgery has been providing medical care since its opening in May 2021, with a philosophy centered on accurate diagnosis and treatment, communication, and contribution to the community. In April 2024, the clinic opened a new building, establishing enhanced medical and rehabilitation facilities. The orthopedic department specializes in musculoskeletal conditions, treating a wide range of issues including neck pain, shoulder stiffness, lower back pain, joint pain, fractures, sprains, dislocations, bruises, sports injuries, neuralgia, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, cervical and lumbar herniated discs, spinal canal stenosis, and peripheral nerve entrapment. In the rehabilitation department, physical therapy using water beds and electrical therapy devices is provided, along with physical therapy (exercise therapy) conducted by physical therapists, with treatments tailored to each patient's condition. In terms of diagnostic equipment, MRI has been introduced for detecting minute fractures that are difficult to assess with X-rays and for diagnosing soft tissues such as ligaments and menisci. MRI does not use radiation, eliminating radiation exposure risks, and is also utilized for diagnosing stress fractures and bone contusions. The clinic also offers regenerative medicine treatments aimed at halting symptom progression in joints and restoring function. A parking lot is available, and barrier-free facilities ensure easy access for patients. Closed days are Thursdays, Sundays, holidays, and the year-end and New Year period (December 30 to January 3).
