Manda Clinic for Palliative Care, located in Sōja-cho, Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, is a clinic specializing in outpatient and home care for cancer patients. Appointments are required, with one-hour outpatient sessions available. For patients who find it difficult to visit the clinic, home care services are provided to support their daily lives. The medical director visits monthly to weekly, and visiting nurses from the nursing station work in collaboration to provide comprehensive support for patients and their families. No referral is required, and cancer consultations are available for individuals and families who have concerns about suspected cancer or are anxious about treatment plans. The facility is barrier-free with parking available, and English language support is offered. After graduating from Gunma University School of Medicine, the medical director gained experience at Gunma University First Surgery and palliative care clinics before starting at this clinic in 2017, having previously been involved in end-of-life care for approximately 1,400 patients as a home palliative care physician. In practice, emphasis is placed on "early palliative care," providing outpatient care alongside chemotherapy treatment and long-term follow-up.
