Established in 1941 as Arai Internal Medicine Clinic, this historic facility gained renown under its first director for dietary therapy of gastric and duodenal ulcers, and under its second director for introducing Gunma Prefecture's first gastrocamera for gastrointestinal disease diagnosis. Currently, the third-generation clinic director, who is a surgeon, practices clinic-hospital collaboration. The clinic's distinctive approach involves diagnosing gastrointestinal diseases at the clinic, referring patients to appropriate inpatient medical facilities based on their condition, traveling to perform surgeries as the operating surgeon during hospitalization, and providing outpatient follow-up at the same clinic after discharge. The clinic director has served as vice director of the Maebashi City Medical Association and, leveraging their knowledge of local medical facilities and established relationships, acts as a bridge to more suitable medical institutions.
