Located in Funahiki-machi, Tamura City, Fukushima Prefecture, Sato Otolaryngology Clinic has been supported by local residents for many years since its establishment in June 2001 as a community-based ENT specialist clinic. In addition to treating various symptoms related to the ears, nose, and throat, the clinic offers a wide range of specialized medical services, including sublingual immunotherapy for cedar pollinosis and dust mite allergic rhinitis, sleep apnea syndrome testing, hearing aid consultation (Tuesday mornings), and various vaccinations including influenza. The clinic is closed on Thursdays, Sundays, and holidays, as well as during the Obon period (August 11-16) and year-end/New Year holidays (December 29-January 3), but medical services continue on Thursdays at the public Ono Town General Hospital. The clinic also focuses on infection prevention measures, actively maintaining a hygienic environment through the installation of air purifiers in the waiting rooms and treatment room, the introduction of slipper boxes with germicidal lamps, and regular alcohol disinfection and ventilation. The clinic supports English communication and is equipped with parking and barrier-free facilities, making it accessible to everyone. Furthermore, the clinic operates a free shuttle bus in cooperation with the nearby Kojima Ophthalmology Clinic, providing support for those with transportation concerns. The facility is also actively promoting medical DX initiatives, including an online eligibility confirmation system compatible with My Number insurance cards and the issuance of electronic prescriptions.
