Located in Haramachi Ward, Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture, Marui Eye Clinic has provided ophthalmic care to the community since opening in 1999. The clinic has extensive surgical experience, performing approximately 14,300 cataract surgeries and 890 glaucoma surgeries. The clinic actively adopts advanced medical equipment, including Spot Vision Screener for pediatric vision and strabismus testing from 6 months of age, confocal scanning camera for detailed peripheral fundus imaging, and corneal hysteresis measurement device that corrects intraocular pressure based on corneal flexibility to predict glaucoma progression. For glaucoma treatment, cutting-edge devices such as micropulse laser trabeculoplasty and selective laser trabeculoplasty are used, while myopia treatment for children employs low-concentration atropine therapy. Day surgery for cataracts is performed using two dedicated devices with careful infection control measures. Additionally, the clinic provides home visit services, primarily for bedridden patients, enabling care for those with difficulty visiting the clinic.
