Megumi Maternity Clinic, located in Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is a bed-free midwifery clinic established in 1996. Director Keiko Terada also serves as chairperson of the NPO BSCare, and continues to be deeply rooted in the community as a midwife with extensive experience and expertise in breastfeeding support. The clinic's core service is breastfeeding support using "BSCare," a proprietary pain-free breast care technique, which has earned strong trust from mothers struggling with nursing. Postnatal care is also available through home visits, and outreach services are provided under contracts with local municipalities including Yanagawa, Miyama, Okawa, and Chikugo cities. Beyond breastfeeding consultations, the clinic addresses women's health concerns across all life stages—from pregnancy anxiety to infertility, adolescent health, and menopause—and also offers pelvic care and mind-body wellness support. Additionally, the clinic actively contributes to community childcare support by delivering "Lessons of Life," programs conveying the importance of life, to audiences ranging from young children to parents. English-language support is available, parking is provided, and the clinic is open on weekdays from 9:00 to 18:00.
