Located in Ishite, Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Uraoka Gastrointestinal Clinic opened in 1988 as a specialized medical institution for endoscopy and ultrasound. In 2000, the clinic introduced CT equipment and has since been dedicated to the early detection of various cancers including gastric, colorectal, pancreatic, liver, breast, thyroid, lung, and uterine cancers. To date, the clinic has detected over 5,000 cases of cancer and has saved many lives. More than 110,000 patients have visited the clinic, and approximately 340,000 individuals have undergone endoscopic and ultrasound examinations. Comprehensive health screenings require reservations. The most painful procedures—gastric and colonoscopic examinations—are performed in approximately 15 minutes with minimal discomfort. The clinic features a large ventilation system that expels humid air and introduces dry air to prevent infectious diseases. In addition to accepting credit cards and electronic payments, the clinic provides parking and barrier-free facilities, with English-speaking staff available.
