Located in Shirai City, Chiba Prefecture, Shida Internal Medicine & Gastroenterology Clinic is a community-based clinic specializing in gastrointestinal diseases and internal medicine. Since opening in November 2015, Clinic Director Takashi Shida, a graduate of Chiba University School of Medicine with extensive experience in gastrointestinal surgery and endoscopic treatments, provides care leveraging multiple qualifications including Instructor and Specialist from the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society and the Japan Surgical Society. A distinctive feature of the clinic is being the first in Chiba Prefecture to introduce the AI endoscopic diagnostic support system 'CAD EYE,' which is expected to improve detection accuracy for polyps hidden in folds and flat lesions that are difficult to detect with conventional endoscopy. The clinic employs Fujinon's next-generation endoscopic system with laser light sources, supporting low-burden transnasal upper gastrointestinal examinations and same-day colorectal polyp removal. As of late 2024, cumulative endoscopic examination cases reached 15,123, with the director's personal colonoscopy experience exceeding 20,000 cases, including experience with cases deemed difficult to insert at other hospitals. In addition to gastrointestinal care, a cardiologist serves as an advisor, enabling cardiovascular examinations such as echocardiography and ECG. English services are available, and the clinic is equipped with parking and barrier-free facilities.
