Fukamachi Hospital, located in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, is a medical institution specializing in Internal Medicine. Since its establishment in 1951, it has been deeply involved in regional healthcare in Kashiwa City. In 1962, the hospital organized its structure as a full-fledged hospital and was later designated as a Chiba Prefecture Emergency Medical Institution, providing Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Internal Medicine, with a focus on treating gastrointestinal surgical diseases. In 2004, it transitioned to a care-mix hospital model and currently serves as a standby hospital providing secondary support for acute-stage diseases as a registered affiliated hospital of The Jikei University School of Medicine Kashiwa Hospital. As a long-term medical care ward for elderly patients with chronic diseases who have difficulty receiving home care, it operates primarily to accept emergency admissions for patients requiring palliative care in the terminal stages of cancer, and to handle acute exacerbations of chronic diseases for regular patients. With the completion of a new building in March 2023, the hospital now has a total of 88 beds and has begun providing Dentistry and Oral Surgery services in outpatient care. The hospital offers English-language services and accepts credit cards, debit cards, and electronic payments.
