Maruya ENT Clinic, located in Matsuba-cho, Kitaakita City, Akita Prefecture, is a community-based ENT specialist clinic. Director Shinichiro Maruya is a specialist who, after graduating from Hirosaki University School of Medicine and conducting graduate research, served as a researcher at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States. Upon returning to Japan, he held positions including lecturer at the Head and Neck Tumor Center of International University of Health and Welfare Mita Hospital and Chief of the Department of Otolaryngology at Aizu Central Hospital. The clinic provides a wide range of services including common ENT conditions such as pharyngitis and otitis media, treatment for allergic rhinitis including hay fever, care for sleep apnea syndrome, desensitization therapy (allergen immunotherapy), and head and neck surgery. Consultations are held in two-part sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, with Saturday mornings only from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The clinic is closed on Thursday, Sunday, and holidays. With the motto of being "a trusted family doctor for the local community," the clinic's policy is to sincerely address each patient's health concerns and anxieties, providing treatment with clear and careful explanations. In addition to English support, the facility features barrier-free design and an on-site parking lot, creating an accessible environment for a wide range of patients.
