Meiko Home Care Clinic is based in Minato Ward, Nagoya City, providing home-based medical care primarily in the Minato, Nakagawa, Atsuta, and Minami wards. Based on my experience as an emergency physician, I have often seen patients whose conditions deteriorated at home because outpatient visits became difficult, leading to emergency transport, as well as those who lived without receiving medical or welfare services and only connected to healthcare through emergency situations. This experience led me to pursue home medical care. We provide medical care by physicians 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with doctors and nurses making regular home visits. We offer a wide range of procedures and examinations, including medication prescriptions, blood and urine tests, blood glucose monitoring, ultrasound examinations, and electrocardiograms. We handle all types of intravenous therapy—subcutaneous, peripheral, and central—as well as nutritional management through gastrostomy and nasogastric tubes, replacement and management of indwelling urinary catheters, introduction and management of home oxygen therapy, management of tracheal cannulas and ventilators, and pressure ulcer treatment. Additionally, we provide introduction and management of medical narcotics, blood glucose and insulin management, thoracentesis and paracentesis drainage, gastrostomy tube replacement, and joint aspiration. Our department is internal medicine, and we have a parking lot with barrier-free accessibility.
