Sugaya Clinic is an internal medicine clinic that opened in April 2019 in the Mizuho Ward of Nagoya City, where the director, who holds the qualification as a respiratory specialist from the Japanese Respiratory Society, provides medical examinations. With experience in diagnosing and treating respiratory diseases focusing on lung cancer at acute care hospitals for over 20 years, the clinic responds to respiratory diseases by utilizing this expertise. The scope of treatment is not limited to lung cancer but extends to bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and other conditions, covering everything from early detection of lung cancer through CT to postoperative care. In addition to such specialized treatment, the clinic responds to general internal medicine diseases and lifestyle diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia, and light trauma such as cuts and burns are also treated by leveraging the director's experience as a surgeon. A smoking cessation clinic is also established, providing advice to patients who wish to quit smoking. High-resolution CT is equipped in the clinic, with various equipment including 16-slice multi-slice CT introduced. High-precision examinations are possible using such equipment, and it is effectively utilized for regular examinations and health checkups for lung cancer, which is difficult to detect early. Clinic hours are from 9:00 to 12:00 and 16:00 to 19:00, with parking and barrier-free facilities ensuring an environment that is easy for patients to use. Credit cards and electronic payments are accepted, and medical consultations in English are also available.
